Quit the installer once it starts.
Quit the installer once it starts.
Hi,
Thanks for that. Since I have never done this before could you tell me is it going to show me some screen where I could click cancel or something?
Thanks,
Ante
Just press the red button at the top left corner of the window or press Command and Q keys to quit
Ok
Thanks guys. Just one more question. Where can I find app file after it is downloaded?
Ante.
All apps downloaded from the Mac App Store are saved on /Applications. To access to this folder, open a Finder window and choose Applications in the sidebar
Initially, it is an app like any other. When it runs (automatically), it will create a Recovery HD (or update the one you have--not sure), then restart into that Recovery partition to complete the install. If it gets to that point, you can't stop it.
Since you are going to download the OS, you might want to consider making a bootable drive which would allow you to reinstall without having to download.
