Q: This device isn't eligible for the requested build it say for iphone 5 when i try to update to 6.1.4

I tried to update my Iphone 5 to 6.1.4 and i got massage the device isn't eligible for the requested why and how to update?

    If you're using Mac go to application utilities open utilities

    Click on terminal you will see your name click space than type in

    sudo nano /private/etc/hosts

    than press enter

    It will ask you for your password than type in your password the password will not show when you typing but it taking you just can't see it keep typing your your full password when's you done press enter

    The you going to see the database

    You can not use your mouse use your scrow down bottom till you get to where it says gs.apple.com

    Is going to look like this

    74.004.867 gs.apple.com

    Type this # in front of 74 or what ever the number is

    Like this double space and type #  74.0.0.8 gs.apple.com

    Than click enter and click command - O to save than exist out terminal

    Than go ahead restore your device

    If you're using windows computes do this steps it will work

    Click on star manue than

    Clicik on my computer 

    Go to local disk

    Click on  the windows

    Click on the system 32

    Click on the driver

    Click on etc

    Click on hosts

    Choose to Open it on the notepad

    Than scroll Dow to the you see where it says localhost delete them

    Change both of the localhost to

    Gs. apple.com

    Than click on the file save and  save it

    Than exist out unplug your device and plug it again

    And click on restor

     

    If it doesn't restor do this steps . Make sure you device is plugged tot the  itune

    hold on  the both phone power bottom and home bottom at same time for 10 second. The device will turn off keep holding it till a message pop up on the itune says ( you device is in recovery mode ) click restor
