I plugged my iphone 5 into my macbook pro via usb, and as soon as i connected the iphone the macbook pro just shut off instantly. There is no power and the charger won't work. Everything seems to have blown. I can't find anything about what has happened online.
PLEASE can someone help me 🙂

If you are still under warranty and/or have AppleCare, call them. Let them deal w/it.

Ok thank you. I no longer have either of those, but i do have insurance. Has anybody had this problem before?
Yes there are many report of this happening with the iPhone 5. Take your Mac your phone and all cables into an Apple store and show them what happened. Try your phone with the supplied cable on some of their floor display Mac computer and see if the same thing happens.
