Hot links not working after first visit to page

I can open a page that has hotlinks (e.g. Home, reply, etc.) and after the first time I use that link I will have to refresh the page for it to work again.

I can open the same page(s) in Chrome or Firefox and it works as expected.

This happens most of the time day after day after rebooting, relaunching Safari to the point where I don't use it.

This is very very frustrating.

From the Safari menu bar, select

Safari Preferences Extensions

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.
