iTunes audiobook sorting

I'm using iTunes 11.0.4 on OS X 10.8.4.

I am a huge audiobook fan and in general I'm very happy with iTunes. However, I baffled by how it orders audiobooks in Books > Audiobooks.

Using the View menu I can select View > Show View Options and then select Sort by Author Then by Title. But when I use Get Info no field says Author or Title. Looking around I see fields such as Artist, Album Artist, and Composer. I suppose that maybe Author refers to Artist but why does it not just say Author?

Then there is Name and Album so maybe one of them means Title.

Question 1 is Why don't they just come out and say what they mean?

Then there is the Sorting tab. Sometimes it seems to me that it does not pay attention to this tab when it orders audiobooks.

Question 2 is What exactly does it do with the Sorting tab info?
