How does Mozilla Thunderbird FFX really work on Mac OS X! I am looking for a less intrusive alternative E-mail service to the google-account's "paparazzi" stuff!  Don't be evil? Right !! Can anyone make a reasonable case for Thunderbird. Especially relative to ease of use, security & flexibility. Thanks! A-NmN.

I've used Thunderbird since their birth.  Never had any problems.  Does what I want it to do and is very easy to use.  No jumping through hoops to use all their bells & whistles.

Never any problems with security as I have all the spam settings activated and I never click on any emails that I do not know.  Junk mail goes directly to the trash automatically.

Thunderbird is my default email client (family & offline friends).  I have not used Mail since the 20th century.
