iTunes Movies content

i recently downloaded rented movie from iTunes. when playing back movie on 27" thunderbolt display, video got cut off from top and bottom. video did not fill entire screen. also is it possible to movie rented movie to mac desktop so that video can be played back with Quicktime with full screen. any help would be great.

The video is not "cut off." You are most likely seeing what is called the original theatrical aspect ratio so the black bars on top and bottom are normal. See this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspect_ratio_(image)


Rented movies can be moved from computer to iOS devices, but not between computers: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1390
