Jul 22, 2013 11:50 AM in response to cartouchecreationsby RatVega™,Probably the easiest way to handle this would be to use Photoshop to create the various elements you desire as seperate layers. Then you can export either a PSD or a series of individual .png images with alpha channel.
You can animate these images in both FCP7 or Motion, depending on your capabilities and preferences.

Jul 26, 2013 5:54 PM in response to RatVega™by cartouchecreations,Thanks RatVega, but I'm not familiar with Photoshop at all. Any way I can isolate the elements of the logo and seperate them as objects IN MOTION?

Jul 26, 2013 7:18 PM in response to cartouchecreationsby RatVega™,★HelpfulI only used Photoshop in my explanation because it is by far the most common progran for this type of work.
What you need to do is create images that have an alpha channel (transparency) in order to make the effect work.
You could try using the Color Key on a cropped version of the logo to isolate the "cartridge" and a white matte to cover the same on the full logo, but this a more complex method. Your abilities with the keyer will determine the results. This would be in the FCP timeline, I can't see anything about Motion that would make anything easier.
If you expect to do much effects work in the future, you really should look into Photoshop or a similar photo manipulation app. Life is tough without alpha channels.

Apple MusicYou could get a copy of Pixelmator for $15 on the Mac AppStore. It has a lot of the same features that Photoshop has and works pretty much in the same way.
