MacBook freezes at white apple logo screen after creating windows partition in bootcamp. I'm trying to install windows 7 ultimate. Any remedy?

So yeah as the title says. The apple logo screen will just freeze there for hours. Here's what I did.

Created a .iso of the win7 install file. Popped it in an 8gb USB stick. Did exactly as bootcamp instructed me to, eg creating the support folder in the USB stick etc.

Mounted the ios with daemon tools lite, set the partition, clicked continue, MacBook restarted and then it just froze at the apple logo.

Any help is appreciated :)

Note: I have an ssd where the SuperDrive was, and another hdd. I'm trying to install to the hdd from my ssd.

MacBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
