Python OpenCV cv2.so How to set path

How and where do I set the path for Python to find cv2.so in OSX 10.8.4?

Maybe launchctl submit ? But not sure correct format

MAN page has no examples

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
