What is 'Qi' compatible , and is the iPhone 5 'Qi compatible?

What is 'Qi compatible'? Is the iPhone 5 Qi compatible? The crowd funded site www.Indiegogo.com claims the changing purse 'the Hustle' is Qi compatible but all the close up photos show AN iPhone but the list INCLUDES iPhone 5. One site claims iPhone 5 is NOT Qi compatible.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4, 64 GB

Hi DizzyM,

Qi is a standard of wireless charging. It's like wifi but for wireless power. Check out http://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com for more info.

The range of Hustle Bags (Bag/Clutch/Wallet) are charged using this wireless (Qi standard) charging technology.

iPhone's do not have the ability to be charged wirelessly unless you buy a Qi enabled case. But the latest Samsungs, LGs and Nokias (to name a few) do have Qi tech built in.

The Hustle range power your phone using a physical connection, not a wireless one. This is only for the Bags to charge. Hope that helps... www.hustlebag.com will give you all the details.
