Will an Airport Extreme bought in the US work in Germany?

If I purchase a new Airport Extreme (the current model) and take it to Germany to use as a router will it work with ease. I know that obviously I will need to get a new power cord but is there anything else that i need to do beyond that. I do not want to purchase one in Germany beacause it will end up costing more. I also want to take it back to the states when i leave Germany and be able to use it.
