how do i make cursor start in text field on page load on ios 6.1.3 iphone 4s

I just got a new iphone 4s. Running 6.1.3. I got the iphone to hook up my bluetooth barcode scanner. The problem I have is: Most apps (including Safari and Chrome browsers) I open, don't have a cursor in the Input box , Text field or Entry box, I have to manually touch the input boxes to get cursor to go in box. Once the cursor is in the input box, I am able to scan one time, then i have to put the cursor back in the box before I'm ready to scan one more time. I know this may seem like a minor detail, but it gets really annoying when you do this about 500 times. Any help would really, really be appreciated. I'm lost!

Let me see if I got this right. You asked a question back in July that Templeton replied to. You answered him. It is now Novemeber and someone else replies to you, and then a day later, you reply to Templeton again making comments about his original reply. Now, just to make sure you understand, you are not speaking to Apple here, Templeton is a user, just like you, not a "team member" from Apple. The only service Apple is providing here is to host this forum for users to help other users.

When you purchased this Bluetooth scanner, did you check the Bluetooth support for the iPhone and whether or not the manufacturer of this device stated this device was supported by the iPhone?

Yes, ChisJ you got it right. I got an email when maplemale commented and thought it would be curtious to let maplemale know his comment was indeed helpful. But I had to log into my account to do such, and while I was at it, I would let Templeton know how helpful his was.

And Yes, I checked to make sure equitment worked before I threw down all that money for Iphone 4s. The question was, how to keep the cursor in textfield. Like when I used my Bluetooth keyboard, every time I wanted to go to another site, I had to touch textbox to put cursor there.

Anyway, All is good now. Went and got an android and everything works great.

Ok, I get it. This site is for users and not connected to Apple support. That explains alot!

Not bashing Apple. Iphone is great for the standard user.

I solved this by adding the <autofocus> command to my web page. Can I assume the Android browser is set to automatically autofocus on the first field on a webpage? That does seem like a convenient default setting. It would just assume that when you open a web page with input fields that you would want to enter something into those fields starting with the first one. A real time saver when you are scanning something like barcodes for inventory.
