I am trying to find the best and most reliable way to archive radio broadcasts. I had problems on my first attempt yesterday when GarageBand suddenly stopped.
I have just had recommended RealPlayer. Any opinions regarding this gratefully received.

Audio Hijack Pro is not bad, but it is not free. You can set Audio Hijack to record at fixed times, also it has a silence monitor to break the files to managable sizes.

Would I be able to access eg BBC Radio 3 with it, or should I continue to connect my radio tuner via audio cable.
If both options are available, which would give the best quality download.
