Dec 29, 2014 8:53 AM in response to HolleeNicoleeby corton604,I was having the same issue, and I noticed that my usb cord that I was using to connect my Iphone to my laptop was a little damaged. I changed it out for a new one and it fixed the problem instantly. I would check your cord over before trying anything to extreme, cause it could be something very simple.

The computer recognizes my phone and my phone is charging. I have used other cords and it is the same for the other cords. Oct 19, 2015 11:57 PM in response to Awkwardly_Niceby Logie12345,I have five different iphones connected to the same iTunes account. iTunes was recognising four of them, but refused to recognise just one phone. With the one phone connected to the PC via a cable, the solution above from "Awkwardly Nice" worked first time for me (after several hours of mucking about with other stuff that was getting me nowhere). Many thanks for your help - much appreciated.

Oct 31, 2015 9:05 AM in response to ahahmedby Triforce of the Gods,THANK YOU! iTunes recongized my iPhone but claimed it wasn't connected via USB (it was) and it wasn't charging. Going into the device manager and manually updating the driver fixed the issue.

Re: My iphone won't connect to itunes or my computer!in response to lllthis can help but there was another page in the apple support communities that i found somewhere that helped. i dont know where it went but i remember what i did.
like you, my iphone was NOT being recognized AT ALL by itunes. i tried a few things here and there and even tried using different ports and cables. that didnt work. but i found this information and it worked for me.
just as a FYI, uninstalling itunes from your computer wont delete any of the stuff you have on it. that stuff is on the computer and just shows up in itunes.
also, im doing this on Windows 8.
ok, so first, you get to your control panel. then go to uninstall program. thereare 5 programs that you will uninstall which is annoying but it worked.
uninstall:
1- iTunes.
2- apple application support
3- apple mobile device support
4- apple software update
5- bonjour
restart your computer. come back to the uninstall program page to make sure those are all uninstalled. then restart your computer again.
now, you can install itunes. then it should prompt to restart computer - do so, or restart if it doesnt prompt.
now try connecting.
i hope that helps. its a pain in the butt, but it helped.
Good Luck!!!
