iTunes 11.0.4.4 freezes on 64-bit Windows 7 upon launch.

I have tried the following steps to potentially fix this issue:

1) Uninstalled all Apple products including QuickTime.

2) Removed the iTunes library database.

3) Created a different Windows 7 user profile

4) Provided the new user profile with local admin rights

5) Disabled the Win 7 firewall

6) Installed version 10.7 and upgraded to 11.0.4.4.

7) Installed version 11.0.4.4 directly without upgrading.

8) Rebooted the system between each of the above steps.

9) Created a new library during iTunes startup

10) Run msconfig to disable any Apple startup products

11) No Internet Security product is loaded on the workstation

12) Used CCcleaner to clean up any registry issues

13) Scanned the system for viruses & malware with Symantec

14) Tried running in Win 7 compatiblity mode

I am out of ideas. Does anyone have any other ideas or know if a new version of iTunes is due out shortly?

Thanks.

I'm going to attempt to help you out. I just fixed a problem I was having with Vista 64 bit. Try this out. Go

into the uninstall programs. Do you have thE program Apple Mobile device support. If so try right clicking and

repairing it. If you get a message that say's fatal error go ahead and uninstall. That may fix your freezing problem or crashing problem it did mine but I do not have Windows 7 I have Vista.
