Q: I transferred photos from pc to ipad and they are not in their folders

Hi I just got a new Ipad 2. When I set it up and transferred my photos from my PC to the Ipad they are not in their folders they are just loose. We're talking about 9000 photos and on my computer they are all in folders with labels and I can view what I want. On my Iphone they transferred with the folders. Its like everything transferred to the I pad except the folders. What can I do to get everything back in order....and manually doing it is not an option LOL thanks Jerry
