Q: Can't download pictures from Iphone 5 to Mac

I connected my iphone to my Mac, unlocked the phone and opened Image Capture app, but my phone does not appear on the screen

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo

Log into another user account on your Mac and see if Image Capture recognizes your iPhone.

Then it's system wide. Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, try again. Then reboot normally and try again.

I booted into SafeMode and tried to download, but it didn't recognize the iphone. I then rebooted normally and tried but still no recogniztion.
