Anyone having problems with the pencil tool in Logic Pro X?
I've tried zooming as far as possible in the sample editor. Yet all that happens when trying to redraw is that I drag the audio to a differnet time.
Logic Pro X, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
Was having this problem too, whenever I double-clicked on audio to open up the 'sample editor'. There are 2 options when you open up that window: Track and File. It won't work in Track which is the default display in the window, but I got it to work in File (which is the Audio File Editor). Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this issue.
For anyone needing clarification (like I did!) the option to switch from 'track' to 'file', within the editor is only available if you activate "advanced tools" in logic preferences. Logic/Preferences/ Advanced Tools.
Thank you that was the missing info I needed. I did not have my advanced setting turned on.
