Can Factory Reset my MacBook with DVD sharing? Snow Leopard

I got both my computers remotely connected. Just wanted to know I could factory reset with the DVD sharing feature.

Could you be more specific? Do you want to know if resetting to factory will prevent DVD sharing (yes, it will) or do you wish to know if you can reinstall OS X from scratch using DVD sharing (yes, you can.) What are the two computers involved? We know one is a MBP. What is the other model?

If both computers happen to have Firewire ports, then you can do this using Target Disk Mode rather than DVD sharing.

Yes, I want to Factory Reset using DVD Sharing.

Windows 7 to MacBook Pro.

I don't believe the Windows PC has FireWire Port.

I got both computers working via DVD Sharing, but where things seem to stop working is when I restart the to Factory Reset, I hold the "Option" key but only one disk shows up.

Here's proof that DVD Sharing is working.

No, that cable won't work. You need to do this via Ethernet or Wireless network connection since the other computer is not a Mac. You cannot connect a Mac to a PC by USB or Firewire cable.

DVD Sharing and Remote Install are different.
