I left my office only to return to find that my Mac mini had turned off. I tried to turn it on, the light comes on, and the fan comes on (very loud). But that is it.
I have had it less than a year with no trouble.
Anyway I have tried resetting the PRAM. Any ideas?

Mac mini, iOS 6.1.4
Took it in to the Apple Store. Booted into safe mode. Did a check of the file system, and hardware. Everything checked out well. No problems found. For safety sack reimaged the HD. Recovered from TimeMachine. Back up and running.
Reset the SMC, as per > Resetting the System Management Controller
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Wait fifteen seconds.
4. Attach the computer's power cord.
5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
If that does not resolve the problem..?
Run the Extended Hardware Test, as per > Using Apple Hardware Test
If that does not work or you encounter a hardware problem, contact your local Apple Store or AASP using > Apple - Find Locations and have the Mac Mini checked out.
Mac Mini won't boot loud fan.
