err 8008 appears when trying to update how do you resolve this err

😕 I keep getting err 8008 when trying to update apps,can anyone help with how to resolve this problem?

I have set some apps to down load and update but I can't get past err 8008 if I restore from old back up would

this resolve my problem or would I loose all the progress I've made in the games I'm trying to update?
