Can you restore disabled iPhone without iTunes

After you connect device to computer it should open up iTunes. Button is on right lower corner

This does NOT work. iTunes immediately gives the following error message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes"

Unless I'm missing something

I have also tried all these through I tunes, and keep getting put in your pass code!!! We'll can't put in a code on a locked phone!! Called apple and they said they would help me for $20.

THIS METHOD WORKS:

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO CONNECT YOUR PHONE TO ITUNES AND CLICK "SYNC" THEN QUICKLY CANCEL THE SYNC BY CLICKING THE SMALL x UP TOP. AND BOOM. PHONE IS NO LONGER DISABLED AND NO DATA IS LOST!!!!!!

my iphone 5s is disabled but when i tried to connect it with itunes and restore it...it mention that to update and restore..i tried that but it didn't work.. it automatically disconnect the iphone...what should i do please please guide

You can't reset an iPhone without a computer you can restore it or thru recovery mode.
