How can I move audio within a region in Logic Pro X

I know it was possible in 9 but I can't find anything in Pro X that's described in the Logic 9 instructions.

Logic Pro X, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

I had exactly the same question, took a lil bit but finally got it!

So with your region in place, sized etc. Right click & enable SMPTE Lock.

This will lock the left & right region locators & allow you to move the audio within. Note the small lock symbol in top left of region.

Then double click the locked region & choose the file editor.

Make sure you enable the hand tool.

Grab & slide the selected region to new position within audio available.

Note the blue stutter region bar & my newly hand dragged region do not align.

Right click in the Small region area below the anchor (mine is labeled stutter)

Select last option: Selection -> Region which should line up the region with the newly selected area which you hand dragged to.

Now all should line up & in the track view your SMPTE Locked Region has not moved but changed the information within.
