Iphoto -Book

I am experiencing a big problem with iphoto, i have chosen a book edited it! clicked to buy completed payment details etc Assembly appears to be fine however the upload of pictures freezes at the half way mark, and no matter what you do you are not able to close choose anything else as the mouse and key board do not respond leving but 1 option and that is to crash the system, i have redone the album the same thing happens, and yet i had done another album 2 months ago and everything worked just great, anyone with any ideas? please
