Logic Pro X keeps crashing

I have this also and exactly what you describe... I can reproduce it with alaming frequency. I seems to crash more with multiple midi note selected and moved.

I do as well, with one file specifically it crashes when I touch the notes in velocity editing. Every time i touch the note, boom it crashes.

No such problems here.. either with moving midi notes in the piano roll or changing velocities in the Step editor..

Is this happening with new projects or just projects originally created with LP9? Can you test and see if it is just the latter?

The midi notes in the piano problems occur with Logic 9 projects opened in X for me. But I have other crashing issues with X with new projects.

I just tested here with former L9 projects after the conversion .. and no problems with both the step editor or the pinao roll and moving things around..

I have seen a few crash logs relating to GPU panics... Have you had any of those too?

I'm wondering if this might be related to a GPU problem 'Blueberry' identified and resolved in this thread...

I just did the new update to Logic Pro X and do not have this problem anymore.

I do also have a Line6 KB37 and also simultaeneously performed an update of its drivers.

So in the end, I can't tell if it was Logic or the Line6 drivers that was causing the fault.

I more or less tend to Logic - it was when moving the midi events only.

BTW, these were happening with new projects....

Actually I'd lean towards the Line6 drivers as i know the older ones were very buggy and as, when you move Midi notes they 'play' via the Line6 audio driver.. it makes sense that this is when it would crash.... but.. whatever the reason I am glad the issue has been resolved for you and thank you for getting back to us and letting us know.

Thanks for your imput, I did not know that when midi events are moved, they are played via the line6 drivers and yes, it took a while before line6 got a driver that was working.. it seems to be stable now line6 still has the problem that midi events will not play till the unit is restarted when the macbook "wakes" from a sleep state. but this I can live with for now...

LPX 10.0.3 keeps crashing on many different commands for me especially when I hit the record button and record audio. I have a Balance from propellerhead as soundcard. I am on a MacBookPro 8GB 10.8.4. Really frustrating.

I hav run memtest to check if my RAM is OK. And it is. I have uninstalled plug ins, EUcon for Euphonicx MC Control but no luck. Also if I only have one track of audio it happens. I dont have to stress with a lot of things. I just move regions and use play, record and stop button.
