"Network" has disappeared from system preferences
When I lost my internet connection I went to System preferences and the "network", "bluetooth', "sharing" icons were gone. How do I get them back?
Thanks

Check that you can get these preference panes back. Open System Preferences and go to View menu (on the menu bar) > Customize. Tick "Bluetooth", "Network" and "Sharing", and accept changes.
If you don't see them, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting and reinstall OS X. You may want to make a backup of your files with Time Machine > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427

I don't know how they unchecked themselves. Thanks so much for the answer.
You are welcome
