My ipod 4th generation won't let me turn on the internet. What should i do?

Yesterday the internet on my ipod stopped working. I tried it again later last night to see if it would work. It worked for about 10-15 minutes after I reset network settings. While i was using it last night it just stopped working again. I have tried everything. I turned wi-fi on and off, i restarted the ios, i reset network settings again. Nothing worked, so this morning i updated my ios. When it was done i tried to turn the wi-fi botton on and now that wont even work. What else can i do?

If not this problem:

iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem.

If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

Then

Does the iPod connect to other networks?

Does the iPod see the network?

Any error messages?

Do other devices now connect?

Did the iPod connect before?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

When i go to general then about im not missing the wi-fi address. And my bluetooth can be turned on and off. Do you know how long i should put it in the freezer for?
