duplicate events on phone after syncing-help!

I run outlook 2007 on my pc. I only accept appointments via my iPhone which is set to iCloud. When I sync my phone, my appointments show up on my outlook calendar 1x but i get 2 of the same event on my iPhone. Any suggestions?
