Copy/Paste Calendar Appointments

Is there any way to copy/paste or ctrl+drag to copy an appoitment in my calendar? For something that doesn't happen regularly enough to set up a repeat appointment it would be nice to be able to purposely duplicate an appointment instead of manually entering one. Directly in iCloud on via an iPhone would be fine, on a Mac or PC platform (Mac at home, PC at work).

Anyone have any thoughts? There are similar posts on the board already, but they are old so I'm hoping the issue has since been resolved.
