Jul 26, 2013 10:26 AM in response to Awestortby Tom Wolsky,That could very well be a problem. I don't know if iPhoto understands 59.94 video. You almost always want to import video into the video application first. FCP will process many video formats into production specifications which other applications will not. You might want to try importing directly into FCP. That said FCP's compatibility with Nikon cameras is not as extensive as Canons, so there may be other issues involved.

Jul 26, 2013 1:29 PM in response to Awestortby Tom Wolsky,Your project settings won't change your clip specs. Can you try to import the video into FCP directly from the camera or the card?

Jul 26, 2013 1:31 PM in response to Tom Wolskyby Awestort,How do I change it to 59.94? And at the bottom of the project it says it is at 59.94 but then when I click on the video info it says it is at 29.97.

Jul 26, 2013 1:38 PM in response to Awestortby Tom Wolsky,Change what? The clip specifications? You can't. iPhoto is reading it as 59.95 and FCP is reading it as 29.97 interlaced. Neither of which is correct.

Jul 26, 2013 3:46 PM in response to Awestortby Tom Wolsky,I don't know. There's no way you can reimport from an archive into FCP? Or was the only copy in iPhoto?
If that's the case I would just try a 59.94 project and see how it works.
