nand error

I saw that thread. But it does nothing to help me solve my problem (as all it talks about is turning the IPAD on and off and I cannot get it past the apple logo). When I go turn on the IPAD the apple logo appears with the nand error. I have tried holding both buttons down at the same time and than holding the sound button when the apple logo appears. (this was someone's suggestion). I still get the error message with only the apple logo appearing. The IPAD is fully charged but I cannot get it past the error message to enter my code to open it.

I do not know what jailbroken means.

I looked up what jailbroken is.....no it is not. I am the original owner too.

tried that. the red slider does not show...do now know if it means anything. Once the apple logo appears.....than the nand error message shows. than it tries to reboot itself.....than the error shows again.

Any other suggestions?

how do you know/make your ipad appear in an itunes sidebar?

because all it shows under the itunes section of apple - is downloading music or videos.

Sorry if this is getting tedious - but nothing seems to get this ipad past the apple logo. I have it attached to my laptop and am at the apple website - but where is it supposed to sync with the ipad according to your link?
