Duplicates- Actual and Ghost Copies

iTunes Match is duplicating and triplicating tracks. Some are duplicates in the classic sense, and some are "ghost" copies; copies of a track that actually exists on my iDevice, but do not show in any list as duplicated. Ghost copies are observed from looking at the iDevice's Music list from iTunes.

These duplicates do not exist in my iTunes Library (MacBook Air). I believe they are taking up precious hard drive space on my device, as well as causing Smart Playlists to malfunction (opinion).
