Hopefully you haven't already damaged it.
If your device gets wet you should:
Power it off and allow it to dry out.
Put it in a ziplock bage of dried rice for 24 - 48hrs. The rice will draw the moisture out of the phone.
DO NOT power the device until it is completely dry.
