Is iWorks 9 (Old Version) compatable with both Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and Lion and M. Lion?
I transfer/change my Appleworks 6 files to Pages for use in either L or ML.

AW files over to Pages files and have everything ready for a switch to either M or ML?

Yes, provided all of your AW files AW 6 files and are word processing files. AW 6 spreadsheet files can be opened by Numbers '09; AW 6 presentation files can be opened with Keynote '09. Other types of AW 6 files cannot be opened by any of the iWork (no s) applications.

Is there anyplace I could download iWorks 9 (Old Version) from?
If there is, it won't be a legal download.
Apple did have a trial version on its website at one time, but it's long gone. That was the only legal download available. The application continued to work, but would not Save or Print after the trial period ended unless it was activated with a purchased key.
You might be able to find the boxed version on eBay, Craig's List, or similar sites.
BTW: Mine was one of the early boxes, purchased with a Family Licence shortly after Pages '09 was released for CDN$99. It's now installed (and updated as necessary) on three Macs running three versions of OS X (Tiger, Leopard and Mountain Lion). Works fine on all three.

OK - I have now got iWorks 9 (Old Version) installed.
The Appleworks files have been changed from version 5 to 6.
However, when I right click on an Appleworks file and go to Info and choose Pages, The file still opens as
an Appleworks file. Is there something I'm leaving out?

To open the AW files drag the document icons to the Pages icon in the Dock
I thought there was a way to convert all the Appleworks files to Pages at the same time.
In the info window, the botton that says change all - but, it does'nt!
That doesn't convert the AW documents. It change which application to open the files with. To convert them you need to open them in Pages. Only AW 6 word processings files can be opened by Pages
How do I update Pages - I cant find any Update Button?
