Hi, I have an iPhone 4 and my iMessage stopped working like a week ago for no reason and now I can't turn it back on. It keeps saying "Waiting for activation" and "Activation unsuccessful". How can I turn it back on? Thank you.

go to settings> i tunes and app store> sign out from your apple id and password..
and then again sign back in and then try switching off i messages and then turn it back on.. see if it helps..

CCheck your clock set to right time/ day.. Especially playing games forget we change time.

I currently have to turn off iMessage altogether in order to send 1 "text" message. For Apple, this set up is extremely disappointing. You have to wait until you get to your home wifi connection or a "free wifi" location. You have to turn off you phone completely, wait 10 mins, turn back on and try again to iMessage back on and wait for the system to get around to re-activating you iMessage
This is a VERY good reason to leave Apple altogether, a serious flaw when owning an IPhone.
My iMessage won't turn on.
