Do not Disturb ap

I have tried to set up my iPhone so that I have the 'Do not Disturb' ap on. I have set up the Scheduled time from 21:30 until 05:00 hoping it will be silent during those hours but I have the volume set as silent but vibrate on but I play a game called words on Facebook but when one of my opponents has there turn I still get the vibration notification. Is there any way I can stop this? Also is there a way to have that ap on every night without my having to go in to the settings every day?

Once you turn on the schedule, it will be scheduled. It will not need to be changed until you want to turn scheduled off.

If you are actively using the device, then Do Not Disturb will not function. It only functions when the phone is in sleep mode. Your playing a game on it has the phone awake and DND will not function.

See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5463 for an explanation of DND.

With regards to the Schedule I have set it at that but it doesn't work everyday and I have to go in to it everyday if I want it on s I have to turn on the DND as the moon disappears after the 05:00 time and I get my notifications back so I not understand why it not on everyday..... Does that mean I can't play the game on my phone if I want the DND to work? Am I being really thick over this? I must admit I am getting frustrated with the phone as it is.

Thanks for your help though.

The moon will disappear when DND is off, which is is outside the time you have it scheuled. Once that schedule time expires, the moon will disappear, but it will turn back on when the scheduled start time arrives. You should not have to make any further adjustments. If you are looking at the other DND switch in Settings, that just turns it on and off, and not the settings. That allows for quickly turning it on and off without a schedule.

The DND feature is designed to not disturb you when you would not be using the phone. It is designed so that if you are using the phone for anything, there is the expectation you would not mind being disturbed.

Can you understand what this means.
