Shared iCloud calendar colour keeps changing

I haven't had this problem for a while, but this week my the calendar my wife shares with me in iCloud keeps changing colour.

I am running iOS 6.1.3 and we have had the shared calendars set up for ages. Now no matter what i do her calander displays as blue, even though it is yellow when i log into iCloud on the web.

When I change to colour to purple on either my iPad or iPhone the colour changes on the web iCloud calendar but displays as blue in iCal on my mac, and in iCal on both my iPad and iPhone.

I haven't added any other new calendars or accounts recently, so I have no idea why this is happening (again)

Anyone else having this problem and/or found a solution?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1

I changed myself and the missus over from Google Calendars to Shared Icloud coz i expect this crap from Google but not from Apple.

I have 5 devices syncing one shared icloud calendar

IOS7

My iphone 5 - Calendar Red and stays any colour i choose

Wife Iphone 5 - Calendar Red and stays red and any colour i choose

IOS6

My ipad 2 - Calendar will not change from blue, it changes then goes straight back

Wifes Ipad 3 - Calendar is Red and stays any colour i choose

MACBOOK

Apple Calendar app - Calendar will not change from blue, it changes then goes straight back

Icloud through Chrome - Calendar will not change from blue, it changes then goes straight back

Icloud through Safari - Calendar will not change from blue, it changes then goes straight back

*** APPLE!

Does this mean just to choose calendar colours i have to go back to GOOGLE?

One other odd thing.

On my Iphone, Ipad and Macbook the calendar says private and only shared with wife

On wifes iphone and ipad it says its a public calendar

Having the same issue and I think this person found a solution:

I modified it by basically starting a new calendar with the desired color (blue) and entering in future appointments. I then exported my old calendar, which kept changing colors to purple, then re-imported that calendar to my new blue calendar. When you import you have the option of merging it with existing calendars. Seems to work so far. Good luck!

I tried both the above solutions.

At first it seemed to have worked. When I imported the old calendar form my desktop to merge with the new one with the new color it looked fine and the color was ok. But, when iCloud tried to update, I got a message of a error on the server and now have a disconnected iCloud on iCal. I have both the old and new calendar (double events) and in two colors and iCloud on iCal won't reconnect and keeps giving me the error message constantly.

This is more than frustrating.

I think I have to give up iCal altogether.

For many reasons, I'm giving up on more and more Apple native apps and reverting to non natives. This should not be happening.

Is it usefull to discuss this annoying problem here? I mean, is there an Apple man/woman reading this at all? Support Communities are nice for sharing knowledge and helping each other if someone doesn't understand something or is looking for a solution others already have.

But this is something no one here can solve for us. So my question is: how to adress Apple on this issue directly?

Sohia65, yes there is a way. it's here. Take a try at it.

But in the past, I don't think Apple has really taken notice of any comments or "bugs" I've reported even though thy say they "carefully read" all comments. I always had to find a way to fix things myself.

I think it will be the same here.

Everyone should at least try. I've already sent mine.
