DId you only remove it from the Dock or delete it from the Applications folder? If it is still in Applications. drag it from the Applications folder to the Dock.

Just in case - there quicker ways to access Launchpad in Mt. Lion then the Dock icon:

  • With a Trackpad simpy pinch with thumb and three fingers - enable this in the Syste preferences "Trackpad > More Gestures"

  • Or set a hot corner in the System Preferences > Desktop&Screensaver Screensaver tab: Click "Hot Corners" - set one of the corners to "Launchpad" and simply jam the mouse into that corner to open your Launchpad.

  • The top row of buttons on your mac should have a button (marked by six squares) to launch the Launchpad as well.
