You have tried most of the right things from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090, but you do not mention that you have checked more than one user account. Do not use the "Guest" account for this test. If you don't already have multiple accounts, create a new account for this testing. If you need help creating a new user account, see http://support.apple.com/kb/VI32
(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
After you have done all required troubleshooting, check whether your camera shows as a USB device anywhere in your Mac's System Information > Hardware > USB >
Device Tree. Note that view triangles in the USB Device Tree should all point down like this ▼. If any points sideways like ▶, click on it so it points down. Having all pointing down will ensure that you can see all connected USB devices.
I know you think your trouble is in software. However, after all you have done, if your camera still does not show in your USB Device Tree, you almost certainly have a hardware problem. Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will be able to fix your trouble.
Professional service is particularly importaint if your firmware is damaged. I know of no way for us users to downgrade damaged firmware to repair it.
Be sure to make a backup of your important files before sending your Mac for service.

NO!
Do not use the "Guest" account for this test.
Do NOT use the "Guest" account for your normal login account either!
Create a new account instead.

The test gives important help. It tells you to have your Mac serviced because you still see no camera:
"If your ... camera is still not behaving correctly ... contact Apple ... for service."

Apple's article gives you the quickest, most efficient, and most reliable way to get your iSight fixed.
Not everything that a Google (or any other search engine) finds on the web is always true. Remember that Apple, not Google, sells, repairs, and provides warranties for these Apple products.
Following Apple's instructions has always restored my Macs' functions.

You are wise to have your problem properly corrected by authorized service technicians before your warranty expires.
