target mode permissions??
I need to copy a lot of data off my laptop to my Mac Pro (both running 10.6). I put the laptop into target mode, connected it to the desktop via a FireWire 800 cable, and see the laptop's drive on the Pro's desktop. But I can't access the files I need (on my Desktop on the laptop) because it says "folder can't be opened because you don't have permissions to see its contents"! What do I do? I thought Target Disk mode was for precisely this purpose. How do I get at the data on my own laptop? Is there a better way to transfer files via FW cable other than target mode?
