Q: I have restored my mini i pad after it would not let me get in and I cannot get to the settings or general settings at all I cannot get into my i pad at all what do I need to do?

I was in the general settings on my ipad a couple of days ago and when I signed out and wanted to come back on i could not get into my pad at all I have changed the id and password three times and i still cannot get into the pad.  Is the general setting keeping me out? I put the passcode in and I still cannot gaet in, is the passcode my password if so why can I not get in?
