Can't email contacts

Can't email contacts

I used to share contacts with my wife all the time. But now her iPhone will not accept the contacts I send her and it doesn't provide any error message.

I have an iPhone 4 running 6.1.3 and she has an iPhone 3GS running 6.1.3.

I open my contacts and select a contact and then tap Share Contact. Then select Email. Then provide her address and send.

On her phone I open email and can see the message. After opening it I see the vcf and tap it. Then I select Create New Contact and see the contact that I sent pop up. Then I tap Done. Now I see the contact again. When I open Contacts the card is just not there. No error message or anything else.

I've done this many times, I've done it using Messages, I've done it from my iMac but it's always the same: the contact is never there.

Go to Contacts. Tap on Groups in the upper left. Make sure all groups are showing.

Meg, Yes that's a good idea! If my wife had several groups defined and she had selected a group and I shared a contact that wasn't in that group then I wouldn't see it after I accepted it for her.

But, unfortunately, that's not the solution since she hasn't defined any groups. But thanks for the attempt. It was a good one.

Have you tried the very basic? Have you tried resetting her phone by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

Beyond that, I don't have anything. Sorry.

She turns it off every night but I reset it anyway and no change.

It is quite mysterious. I've searched and can't find anything like this.
