I have tried your instructions for resetting after too many attempts and i am at step 5 but the propmpt isn't there for me to restore.

I am trying to follow the instructions for resetting my iphone5 after being locked out for too many tries. I am at step 5 where it is supposed to prompt me to restore but the prompt isn't there. What o i do now to restore my phone?

Repeat the steps 1-4 more carefully. Read them carefully. Assuming you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer and you have been able to sync in the past it should recognize the phone.
