disabling private bowsing on admin account....

Hi. I leave my mac logged in to my account, but it is occasionally used by other people. I'd really prefer to remove the "private browsing" option from safari, but I want to leave it as an admin account.

any ideas?

Have you considered removing the menu-item altogether?

Make a copy of Safari.app. Open Safari.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib in Interface Builder (Developer Tools), delete the menu-item and save. Repair disk permissions using Disk Utility.

Hi mistafeesh, looks like you have it solved.

Glad the problem is fixed. You got some great help from Yang. Yang likes Stars. You have rewards to hand out.
Gold Star = Helpful = 5 pts w 2 available and Green Star = Solved = 10 pts.
That will do two things. [1] Alerts readers to a possible solution to their problem. And [2] It adds points helping the contributer reach the next level.
