Still stuck with full brightness in Windows 8
I have the problem that the screen brightness of my 2010 iMac 27" with Windows 8 in Boot Camp v5.0.5033 is always on full power and that the brightness control in the charm bar or with the keyboard both don't work. The screen is sooo bright that I get a headache!
I have already searched all articles in the Apple Support Communities and the Microsoft Communities and have tried the following:
- Diable the "Generic PnP Monitor" in Device Manager
- Set "Enable adaptive brightness" to "Off" in Advanced Settings of Power Options
- Repair install of Boot Camp v5.0.5033
- Uninstalled the "Generic PnP Monitor" in Device Manager and let Windows automatically install the drivers again
- Uninstalled the "ATI Radeon HD 5670 Display Adapter" in Device Manager and let Windows automatically install the drivers again
- Run the automatic Troubleshooter in Windows 8
Do you have any ideas what else I can try to fix the problem?
