Still stuck with full brightness in Windows 8

I have the problem that the screen brightness of my 2010 iMac 27" with Windows 8 in Boot Camp v5.0.5033 is always on full power and that the brightness control in the charm bar or with the keyboard both don't work. The screen is sooo bright that I get a headache!

I have already searched all articles in the Apple Support Communities and the Microsoft Communities and have tried the following:

  1. Diable the "Generic PnP Monitor" in Device Manager
  2. Set "Enable adaptive brightness" to "Off" in Advanced Settings of Power Options
  3. Repair install of Boot Camp v5.0.5033
  4. Uninstalled the "Generic PnP Monitor" in Device Manager and let Windows automatically install the drivers again
  5. Uninstalled the "ATI Radeon HD 5670 Display Adapter" in Device Manager and let Windows automatically install the drivers again
  6. Run the automatic Troubleshooter in Windows 8

Do you have any ideas what else I can try to fix the problem?

Thank you for your help!
