In a Word Processing template Menu > Insert > Page/Section Break or simply add morre text on the page.

In a Layout template click on the Pages icon on the Toolbar and choose a page design.

I am using the icloud beta version, and I can not find the template and layout options. I am presuming it is a lite version without these?

I'm not familiar with the iCloud beta version.

On the  Mac, Pages '09's Templates Chooser separates the wp templates and the pl templates into two sections:

The Blank wp templates do not include "Canvas" in their names.

With a document open, you can tell the difference by checking the Insert menu. In a Page Layout document, the first item will be Pages, and in the next section, Section break and Page break (and usually the other two types of break) will be greyed. In a Word Processing document, Insert's first item is Sections, and all four 'Break' items will be black.

    Regards,

    Barry

Sounds like they are the iOS versions, which I suspected would be the case.

btw If you are using an oddball unreleased version of Pages, I personally would have that useful to know in the question.

It seems that the iWork for iCloud beta only creates word processing documents, just as the iOS version. Additional pages will be added as needed when text fills the page. I don't see a way to add a page break to force a new page.

It is a beta, so be sure to leave feedback.

Press the control key and then click on the place you want to add the page break.  I've found it works best if you click on a blank line, not at the end/beginning of an existing line of text...

That doesn't work.  *** can't I just start a new page?!  What is wrong with these programmers?  Have they forgotten how to program for those of us who aren't professsional designers?!?!  I swear, I just want to go back to Publisher.  At least I could figure out how to do something that should be one of the simplest things to do!  SO frustrating!!!
