Q: My I-pad shows that I have a pending app update but when going to the Istore site and hitting updates the page remains blank !! Any ideas ???

Try updating from here:

App Store>Purchased>Select "All"

Note: You'll have to look out for apps that have the word "Update"

I updated one of my apps this way, but it still shows one update remaining.  None of my other purchased apps on that page show that they have an update.

I'm experiencing the same problem - other tabs for the iTunes store work fine, but the update page remains blank.

I'm having the same issue! --maybe I'll just have to go to the Apple store! --and hope that some there can fix this problem; supposedly, seven apps have updates,  but that field remains blank when I try to update! --can't figure out what's wrong, or what I can do on my own....

I'm experiencing the same issue! --without resolution! --this field remains blank! --all others function properly! --guess I'll just have to visit the Apple store! --where "geniuses" at the "genius" bar might be able to help "heal" my iPad!

Go into the purchased tab and update the ones you can. If you can't, don't stress over it. Your app will continue to work.

But going by the hundreds of threads here and the overwhelming number of the users reporting success, the purchased work around does work. You just have to do it one at a time instead of automatically.

It's good to know there is some workaround. However, I'm trying to update an iPad that has about 800 apps installed and probably twice that many uninstalled. Going through the purchased tab to find the 28 that need to be updated isn't going to be a practical option for folks like me.

I finally went into my iTunes onmy computer, did all my updates there all at once.  Then I synced the iPad and no more pending updates.  However that tab in the app store on the iPad is still blank.

I'm having the same issue.  I know I can get the updates via other means; that's not the point.  Something is clearly broken in the App Store and Apple needs to fix it. 

Apple knows it's broke, but this is a user to user forum so no one here can really do anything for you beyond offering the work arounds.

there have been a few people reporting their updates suddenly working, so it's possible that any fixes will slowly populate through the system.

My iPad 2 and iPad mini were both having this issue. After trying for over 2 hours, my iPad 2 suddenly worked, and the updates were installed without further issues. My mini still says I have 6 updates pending, but the update list page continues to be blank. Hopefully the problems have been identified on Apple's side of the house and are being corrected.

Problem solved! Was able to update mu apps today!
