Bootcamp on 3TB Fusion Drive iMac (Late2012)

Hi,

I just want to ask if Apple already solved bootcamp issue on 3TB Fusion Drive Imacs.

I tried to install bootcamp via bootcamp assistant few months ago with no success.

Also my HD ended like this and a can't remove the 2nd partion via Diskutil neither Bootcamp assistant.

I am running 10.8.4 and version of Bootcamp assistant is 5.0.3. (464).

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey Exakt,

I had the exact same issue. I'm affraid you have to reinstall your mac to restore the drive.

Make sure you have a timemachine backup.

1. Boot mac while holding down cmnd + alt + r. This boots in online recovery (make sure you have wifi/ethernet connection)

2. After loading you'l be able to acces disk utility and completely format your drive.

3. Reinstall OSX

4. Put back timemachine backup.

Good luck with this!

I saw some post on different forums where people say that bootcamp on a 3tb fusion should work now... I didnt see any apple update with info on a fix? Can people confirm that bootcamp on a 3tb fusion drive works now?

Grz!
