Q: how can I update my iOS to 3.1.3 for iPod Touch G1

Link no longer works to get ios 3.1.3 in app store, how can I upgrade from 1.1.5?

iPod touch, iOS 1.x

A:

When you select this to purchase it says you have already purchased and just gives you a download link that does not download. No download starts at all. Thanks for your suggestions though.

Plug in to computer, open iTunes, click update. This will update to the latest version.

This only takes me to version 1.1.5 I am using the latest version of iTunes also.

Thanks for the heads up, but this is the link that just does not download. It seems to have been removed deliberately from apple as you can not purchase this from the app store.

Try using a different browser for the download. Also, there is no way the live chat with Apple for this problem, and you can't email them. To contact iTunes:
